These are a few games for my Motion Graphics class to present: my first being Halo: Custom Edition. This is the open source version of Halo Combat Evolved. It is a first person shooter, and has online capabilities that make this game successful. This game gives you the choice of making your own custom created content using 3ds Max and the Halo Editing Kit (HEK). The video and content was made by a group in the HCE community called the Custom Mapping Team. This is their third mod for the campaign called SPv3:
They have went above by using the Open Sauce, which is an SDK for HCE, using programming to push the engine beyond its limits with features such as bloom, normal mapping, and other visual effects impossible with the original 11 year old engine:
My second game choice using 2d sprites is called 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, the objective of this game is to find an exit and escape each room through a certain 'numbered door' and make all the right decisions that push the character to get the real ending. It is as much as a visual novel as it is a game and teaches good lessons. You are in first person of the main character as each scenario plays through and make his decisions for him. This is a mystery game:
My last choice is a game called 'Portal 2'. This Game is a first person puzzle game that also makes the player look for an exit and find a way to leave the room. This game works spawning the character into an elevator into the next room using a gun called a 'portal device' to shoot to points in space and you can walk in one portal out the other:
